Traveler's Review Barry & Sarah from Sheffield, UK - May 21, 2005 We shall return. Stayed at the Tamarind Cove Barbados during mid May. The hotel was in an excellent location, about a quarter of a mile south of the Sandy Lane Hotel. You would never guess that it was on a busy road, once you passed through the reception you were in another world. Because the hotel was linear i.e. runs along a large stretch of beach, neither the hotel, or beach, ever seem overcrowded. We thought it was only about half full and were surprised to hear that it was running at 90% capacity. The hotel has three restaurants and a bar. The Tangier Restaurant was excellent and offered an impressive four course menu every night. The Sasso Restaurant (formerly Neptune) was an experience to savour in more ways than one. The service was marvelous and the food historic. You must dine in the Sasso at least once during your stay. For a casual lunch or dinner try the Bamboo Beach Bar, right on the beach with a menu ranging from pizza to New Zealand green mussels.
